Nina Santos
Nina Santos is a post-doctoral fellow at the Brazilian National Institute of Science & Technology for Digital Democracy and an associate researcher at the Centre d’Analyse et de Recherche Interdisciplinaires sur les Médias (Université Paris II). She was a visiting fellow at the Center for Advanced Internet Research (CAIS – Germany, 2020) and at the group Social Movements in the Global Age at Université de Louvain-la-Neuve (SMAG – Belgium, 2018). Nina holds a PhD in Communication and Information Sciences from Université Panthéon-Assas/Paris II and her thesis was awarded with the Prix de thèse de l’Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas and nominated for the Prix de la Chancellerie des Universités de Paris.
Nina has extensive professional experience as a political communication advisor and as data analyst for major international brands. Her research projects have been mainly focused on frameworks of information dissemination on digital media, new information mediators and political impacts of the transformation of media systems. The researcher is financed by a scholarship from the Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (Capes, Brazil).
